Why Naturally Granola Is (Now) 100% Vegan — And Still Just as Delicious

Let’s start with a little honesty: I’m not vegan. I eat everything — but I do care about making conscious choices. I think it’s important to be mindful of what we put into our bodies, how it makes us feel, and the impact it has on the world. So when I discovered I could make a granola that tasted exactly how I wanted and happened to be vegan? That was an easy yes.
Yes, Naturally Granola is vegan.
Always has been? Not exactly. But since 2021, we’ve made the switch — and here’s how that happened.
I wanted to develop a new granola, and had made a poll on Instagram to ask what our clients wanted. A nut free granola, or a vegan one? They couldn't choose. And the verdict was, both were equally important. So I decided to start experimenting in my kitchen... We swapped one small ingredient… and the result? Something I could eat every day!
Curious what kept us from being vegan in the first place? It was honey. A natural choice for sweetness, sure, but it’s also an animal product — which means it’s not suitable for a vegan lifestyle.
So we changed it.
Enter: maple syrup.
We now use a combination of maple syrup and our go-to, date syrup — a natural, nutrient-rich duo that keeps our granola lightly sweetened without being overpowering. Maple syrup not only adds that warm, golden sweetness, it also has a lower glycemic index, so you won’t get that dreaded sugar spike.
And the best part? Maple syrup contains trace minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. A small change that makes a big difference — for your body and for the planet.
A conscious choice, without compromise.
We never chose to go vegan just because it sounded trendy. We did it because it felt right — and because we could do it without sacrificing anything. Not flavour. Not crunch. Not that delicious feeling you get when your breakfast makes your whole morning better.
Naturally Granola is still the same: premium chunky granola in surprising flavors that elevate every bite — whether you’re eating it straight from the jar or using it to impress your brunch guests.
Vegan or not, you deserve granola that feels good and tastes amazing.
And now? You can have both.
