I'll just introduce myself, so we can connect a little already!
I'm Linde, a spontaneous Belgian self-love cheerleader and also a certified dietitian. For me, self-care, self-love and healthy AND tasty food are a priority. I myself believe that these go hand in hand, more on this later!
When Tiara asked me if I'd be interested in writing a little blog about this on a monthly basis, I thought, "Hell yes, this is really for me!" So here we are... and I'm all about it!
But, how can nutrition, self-care and self-love go hand in hand? And what does Naturally Granola have to do with this? Well, I'll confide it to you right away....
Self-care is indispensable in our lives. We live in a constant high speed, receive an immense amount of stimuli and often set the bar (far too) high for ourselves. A me-time moment, a destress moment and a moment of rest can be so beneficial. We all know the classic forms of self-care: taking a bath, going for a walk, face masks, ... But think about it: taking good care of our body and feeding ourselves with things that are healthy and tasty (this can be healthy in the classic sense, but also healthy for our mental well-being aka: eating french fries every now and then because we love them), isn't that the ultimate form of self-care? I think it is.
And this is also exactly what Tiara had in mind with Naturally Granola.
NG really started out from a passion for food, where of course it is also very important that it tastes good. (Because nobody wants boring dry granola just for the sake of being healthy. Ain't nobody got time for that!). Taking good care of your body with an eye on enjoyment is key, as is taking good care of your mental health. Our whole brand is based on these values. This can also be seen in the house color: light and dark blue. Tiara is from Curaçao and Nikos is from Greece, where blue is omnipresent and linked to self-care. Just think of the blue sky, the sea, the beach... Let go of everything, leave all the pressure and expectations behind, and just be. Swaying with the blue water, enjoying and sensing what we really need. Both physically and mentally. Self-care at its best!
Do you always have to go to the beach and jump in the water now? No, although of course it would be fun! Self-care is in the little things. Everyday things where we get back in touch with our true self for a moment, just for a moment.
How do you do this? Now that's exactly what I'm going to teach you in these blogs. I'm going to take you on a journey to self-knowledge, self-discovery, self-development, self love, all by starting with self-care.
