Energy bars

To celebrate the flavour of the month, we prepared a few special recipes for you that use our "Belgian Dark Chocolate" variety. Granola and chocolate lovers: this one is for you! Here is one of our favourites: energy bars with rose, pistachios, granola and chocolate!


  • 1½ cup Belgian Dark Chocolate granola

  • 1 cup dates, pitted & softened

  • ½ cup puffed quinoa

  • 2 tbsps hemp seeds

  • 2 tbsps pistachios, chopped

  • 2 tbsps maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tbsps nut butter

    Coating: 150 grams dark chocolate (95%)
    Topping: chopped pistachios & dried rose petals


  1. Blend dates in a food processor into a paste. Add nut butter, blend until combined. Set aside.

  2. Crush the granola into crumbs in the food processor.

  3. In a large bowl, add date paste, granola crumbs, puffed quinoa, hemp seeds and pistachios and combine well

  4. Cover a square cake tin with plastic foil and press the mixture into the tin. Push using the back of a glass.

  5. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler

  6. Pour the melted chocolate on top of the granola mixture and make sure it's spread evenly.

  7. Top with pistachios and rose petals. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut in bars or squares before serving.
