Baobab Banana Oats

These Baobab Banana Oats are from Sue of Foodieroomie. A friend told her that in Senegal there is a popular drink called 'bouye'. It is a kind of milkshake made with baobab (powder). After this tip she decided to make this bowl as creamy as possible and if you have baobab somewhere, she definitely recommends it!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 tbsp crushed flax seed
  • 2 tsp baobab powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nut butter

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients, except the mashed banana, to a non-stick pan over high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and lower the heat to a simmer until the oats have thickened to your liking.
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the mashed banana. Top it off as desired.
