In this blog post, I want to lay out some of the characteristics of our chunky, super tasty granola that might help you decide for yourself and give you an additional look into how careful we are with our granola!

100% Natural Ingredients

Most importantly, our granola does not contain preservatives or additives. We stay away from refined sugars, and let the sweetness be all-natural. That is because "refined sugars have no nutrients, they only provide a brief spike in our energy, but nothing more", as Alyssa mentions. However, Naturally Granola products contain natural sugars, which "do contain useful nutrients". If you want to include sugars in your diet,  "natural sugars are the best choice", she adds. 

 

"We do not have to avoid 'sugars' altogether. Our bodies need sugars, like starch and fiber, which belong to carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are converted into energy in your body. Too much sugar, however, is unhealthy. So always choose consciously and go for products without refined sugars! 

In our bakery, everything is prepared manually - we even cut our nuts by hand! This is how we make sure that we can carefully see what goes into every single daily-baked batch of our product. And plus, your body loves nuts, because "nuts contain unsaturated fatty acids and you need these fatty acids in your daily diet". Fibers and proteins

Our granola also contains around two times more fibers than your average supermarket granola and even more fibers than some of the alternative options! I had a conversation with Linde, a Naturally Granola enthusiast and soon-to-be dietician, about what she enjoys most about Naturally Granola products. One of her favourite aspects was indeed the fibres and the multiple benefits that it has. Linde also mentioned the high amount of protein that contributes to the feeling of "fullness", thanks to the different kinds of seeds that we add to our products, such as chia, sunflower, pumpkin and flax seeds!
